Boron/Boride

 Boron is a chemical element with the symbol "B" and atomic number 5. It is a metalloid that exists in various forms, including amorphous boron and crystalline boron. Boron is known for its unique properties and wide range of applications. It is an essential element in the formation of many compounds and materials.

 QSAM's product line includes ceramic materials containing boron. The major member of them is boron nitride ceramics, which includes hot-pressed boron nitride (hBN) and pyrolytic boron nitride (PBN). These materials exhibit excellent thermal conductivity, high temperature resistance, electrical insulation, and lubricating properties. Regular boron nitride prodcuts are boron nitride crucibles (for both hBN and PBN)and custom parts. Another important material is LaB6, lanthanum hexaboride. QSAM could process LaB6 into simple shapes to make LaB6 cathodes, rods, plates, and tubes.
